You describe a setup once. Every check then reads that description rather than a remembered rule of thumb, so changing one field can retract a finding.
Each finding names where its claim comes from:
- Physics: arithmetic or optics. True regardless of camera.
- Sony spec: stated in the A6700 help guide, quoted rather than paraphrased.
- Convention: standard production practice. Widely agreed, not a law.
- Your notes: something you recorded from your own shoots.
- Unverified: repeated everywhere, confirmed nowhere. These ship switched off, and the review lists them as deliberate omissions rather than hiding them.
Findings you disagree with are worth more than findings you accept. If a rule fires on a setup you know is right, its basis tells you whether to argue with the camera or with the rule.
